Naofumi sets out with Malty Melromarc, the only person willing to train alongside him. Naofumi gets hatred from the people of Melromarc for the false allegations of taking advantage of a girl.
He now decides to strengthen himself and regain his lost reputation. Naofumi then buys a human slave called Raphtalia to accompany Naofumi on his journey.
