Vinland Saga season 2 is coming to an end very soon. The last episode of the season, i.e., Episode 24 is scheduled to be released on June 19. The penultimate episode of season 2, titled “Two Paths” released on June 13.
The second season of the popular seinen anime came out on January 10 after a very successful first season. While season 1 of Vinland Saga was helmed by Wit Studio, MAPPA took the reins for season 2. Both seasons showed wonderful animation and a brilliant story structure that made the anime so popular among fans.

Vinland Saga is very different from the mainstream shonen anime that most people gravitate towards. The anime is mature with a coherent storyline and well-written, multi-dimensional characters.
Adapted from the iconic manga of the same name, written and drawn by Makoto Yukimura, Vinland Saga debuted in 2019 and became an instant hit with fans showering praise over the quality of the animation and the presentation. The second season also impressed fans and received a rating of 8.74 on MyAnimeList, based on fans’ opinions.

Season 2 of Vinland Saga tells the story of Einar whose family is killed and village is destroyed. In the end, he’s taken as a slave by the Danes, only to meet Thorfinn, a fellow slave with a sullen attitude. As the two bond and work together to gain their freedom, we witness the internal politics of those around them.
