What is the Reason Behind Sukuna’s Eye Bleeding and Gojo’s Nose Bleeding? (Jujutsu Kaisen)

The spoilers of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 230 are out, and it proves to be one of the most thrilling chapters of the series because of how many shocking twists it provides. At one point in the chapter, it seems like Gojo is going to lose the decisive battle, proving Sukuna to be the strongest sorcerer after all. But that quickly changes when it turns out that Sukuna took just as much damage.

Sukuna has very cleverly used Megumi and Mahoraga to adapt to Gojo’s Unlimited Void. He’s been having Megumi bear the burden of Mahoraga adapting to Unlimiting Void, all the while waiting for Gojo to reach a point where he can no longer use his domain expansion.

Sukuna and Gojo Bleeding

After Mahoraga released Sukuna from Unlimited Void, Gojo tries to use his domain expansion again, only to be unable to do so and bleeding from the nose. Sukuna reveals that this is because Gojo has been damaging his own brain while trying to recover his cursed technique with the Reverse Cursed Technique.

The curse techniques are etched into a sorcerer’s right prefrontal cortex of the brain, and the more Gojo uses RCT to recover his CT, the more damage to his brain he causes. He uses it a total of five times, which is lethally dangerous and has his nose bleeding now.

As Sukuna is gloating and trying to open Malevolent Shrine, he also begins to bleed profusely from his eyes. This is when it’s revealed that though Sukuna had to endure Unlimited Void for a negligible amount of time, and it’s only been ten seconds since that, the damage it caused Sukuna is enough to render him unable to use his domain expansion and cause his eyes to bleed.

Things are looking pretty even for the two strongest competitors as they enter round 2 of their legendary fight.
