The new anime movie, Black Clover: Sword of The Wizard King released on June 16, 2023, and has been airing on Netflix. The film has garnered positive responses from both the critics and especially the fans. Now the original author of the manga, Yuki Tabata, has released a letter, relaying his gratitude and awe towards the anime movie and the staff who made it possible.
Tabata wrote in his letter: “The movie Black Clover “Magic Emperor’s Sword” has finally been released! Yay! The other day I was able to see it at the movie theater, but anyway, it was a beautiful screen and it moved a lot! There are a lot of powerful action scenes, and you will be moving all the time.”

The plot of Black Clover: Sword of The Wizard King revolves around four former Wizard Kings coming back to crush the Clover Kingdom while Asta, the magicless boy who aspires to become the Wizard King, continues to become stronger.
The four former Wizard Kings acting as antagonists in the movie are the 11th Wizard King: Princia Funnybunny, the 16th Wizard King: Jester Garandros, the 20th Wizard King: Edward Avalaché and the 26th Wizard King: Conrad Leto.
Black Clover: Sword of The Wizard King is placed in the canon timeline right after the events of season 4 of the original anime. The movie has been praised for its animation, entertaining plot and the intense fight scenes. Yuki Tabata shares the sentiments of the fans himself, and thinks that director Ayetaka Tanemura and the voice actors have done a brilliant job with this movie.
