Boruto part 2, officially titled as Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, is all set to debut the upcoming Sunday, on August 20. The sequel will be picking up a few years after the incidents of part 1. The future of Boruto has already been teased in the very first chapter of the manga where we see Boruto and Kawaki are all set to go all-out against each other.
The events of Part 1 focused on how Naruto and his family took in Kawaki and how the abused boy formed strong bonds with each of them. The conclusive chapters of part 1 also solidified the intensity of bonds that Kawaki formed with Naruto and the Uzumaki family, especially Boruto. However, the difference of philosophies between the sworn brothers is immense, and that will be playing the most major role in their story.
Recently, the spoilers of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex came out, and in them we see Naruto and Hinata imprisoned in an alternate dimension by Kawaki. Both of them are catatonic, but don’t look to be in pain. They are just floating in another dimension, one similar to Isshiki’s dimension, unconscious.

First look at Kawaki’s timeskip design! He is seen entering the dimension naruto and Hinata are imprisoned in (dimension where time stops, explains why naruto and Hinata haven’t aged). pic.twitter.com/dMzy911lWN— Abdul_Zol2 (@Abdul_S172) August 16, 2023
This dimension seems to protect them against the dangers that are currently reigning the real world. Nothing gets inside this dimension except Kawaki; in fact, presumably not even time as the couple don’t seem to have aged at all. It’s clear that it’s Kawaki’s way of protecting them. However, it’s curious that Himawari is not with her parents in this dimension, but is in the real world.
More of the circumstances that led to Naruto and Hinata being trapped in the alternate dimension by Kawaki will be eventually revealed in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
