Different Ways on How Sukuna Can Defeat Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen?

The ultimate battle between Ryomen Sukuna and Satoru Gojo has begun in the latest arc of Jujutsu Kaisen. The duo clashed on the day on Christmas Eve, and while initially Gojo was dominating the fight, Sukuna soon starts to get an upper hand. Here are all the different ways on how Sukuna can defeat Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Actually the one and only way to defeat Gojo is to bypass his Infinity that makes it impossible to touch him. No matter how strong a cursed technique is, it won’t have any effect on the jujutsu sorcerer unless Infinity is neutralized. However, there are a few ways to do so and finally have an attack affect Gojo physically.

Different Ways on How Sukuna Can Defeat Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen

1) Domain Amplification

Domain Amplification

It is a barrier technique in which the user’s cursed energy emission is amplified, giving it a domain-like feature. It is an upgraded form of Simple Domain, with Hanami and Gojo seen using it against Gojo at Shibuya.

The user can also infuse their cursed technique inside it or choose to leave it empty to fill it with the opponent’s cursed technique. However, the biggest advantage of domain amplification is that if touched, it neutralizes the cursed technique of the opponent.

If implemented by Sukuna, he can use it to neutralize Gojo’s Infinity and finally attack him physically. But the biggest disadvantage of domain amplification is the user becomes unable to use their innate cursed technique while using it.

Against an opponent as strong as Gojo, it’d be foolish to deactivate once own innate cursed technique. It’s no wonder that Sukuna doesn’t use it and finds a better way to land a hit on Gojo.

2) Domain Expansion

This is the strongest technique for all the jujutsu sorcerers or cursed spirits who are able to use it. All domains have a sure-hit feature that makes the prey unable to dodge or overpower the user inside the domain.

This sure-hit function of domains will be able to penetrate through Gojo’s Infinity barrier. But that is only if his opponent’s domain was superior to his Unlimited Void, which is almost impossible.

Sukuna and Gojo both have two of the strongest domains in the series. However, the difference between their domains is that unlike Gojo’s i.e., the usual case for domains, Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine has no barrier. Instead, it has a bigger attack range, expanding up to 200 meters in every direction from Sukuna.

When Gojo and Sukuna’s domains clash, their sure-hit functions cancel each other, with the condition that if one of them falls injured, the sure-hit function will be activated within a split second. The clash of their domains show that where the power of the domain is concerned, they are evenly matched. But Sukuna’s domain is definitely more efficient.

While domains are the ace of tricks for cursed energy users, it has one weakness. The domains are strong on the inside, but vulnerable on the outside. Sukuna takes advantage of this.

With the range of attack of his Malevolent Shrine far surpassing the area taken by Gojo’s Unlimited Void, Sukuna uses his domain to attack Gojo’s domain from the outside, shattering the barrier and finally activating the sure-hit function and slashing the neck of Gojo.

By finding an efficient yet mind-blowing way to bypass Gojo’s Infinity, Sukuna has proven that he can defeat Gojo not only by power or cursed energy, but also by his shrewd intellect. The slash on Gojo’s neck has changed the tide of the battle, leaving fans fearing for Gojo. Fans are now eagerly waiting for the next chapter to see what comes for these two fan-favorite characters next.
